Shop the Loop - Parallel Universe

Something completely different is here – a front-mounted-radiator build with a hidden pump and vertical EK-Quantum Lumen 7" LCD screen, packed inside the white H7 Elite case by NZXT. Now, you can let go of everything you thought impossible and experience the Parallel Universe.

About the Build

This intricate build was carefully planned and assembled to accommodate any motherboard and GPU and still look the same regardless. One radiator has been mounted at the front of the case, allowing another 360mm radiator to be mounted on the top. The top radiator is an S series radiator, while the front one is thicker – belonging to series P. Their combined cooling power can handle anything you throw at it.

Pump and Reservoir

EK-XTOP DDC 4.2 PWM Elite pump has been tucked away in the bottom compartment and connected via its outlet port to the front radiator with a 14mm male-to-male rotary extender.

An EK-RES X3 110 reservoir is connected to the pump top with a 14mm rotary offset fitting mounted on the pump’s inlet port. Since the front radiator unit can move up and down, the pump itself is positioned at the bottom of the case, securely standing on its rubber feet, while the reservoir is mounted to the side slot with a single X3 Holder. Because of this, no matter which motherboard you choose, the reservoir can be precisely positioned for the tube to remain horizontal.

Reservoir ports are perfectly aligned, while the angled top port is used to fill the loop. An EK-Extender G1/4 Socket is installed to the recessed port of the reservoir, where fitting for the tubing installation can be connected.

CPU and GPU Water Blocks

Our latest EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB - 1700 CPU water block and EK-Quantum Vector² RE RTX 3080/90 Active Backplate Set are also used in this build. With both being Matrix7 compliant and GPU mounted vertically with an EK-Loop Vertical GPU Holder EVO, you are free to choose a different motherboard and graphics card. Since all EK-Quantum Vector² GPU water blocks comply with the EK-Matrix7 standard, the only thing that can change is the tube length, while all the fittings can remain the same, thanks to careful loop planning.

The CPU water block needs 21mm static extenders (14 + 7) and 90° rotary adapters, while the GPU block only needs 90° rotary adapters for the alignment to be perfect.

The GPU block connects to the front radiator and the top radiator. A 21mm offset is needed on the top radiator, while the front radiator needs 14mm and 7mm static extenders combined with a 90° rotary adapter.

Radiators and Fans

The front P360M Surface radiator might seem pushed against the glass with no airflow, but it is, in fact, placed just right to perform at its peak. Being the multiport version, it gives us the option to mount the drain valve at the bottom of it. The radiator port extender, two micro 90° rotary adapters, and four pieces of 7mm static micro extenders create a space on the side for the drain valve.

To cover the front fan mounting holes of the radiator, we have used two EK-Loop D-RGB LED Edge Diffused Strips. Since you can cut these strips between the LEDs to get the desired length, they can be placed along the radiator's whole length, creating a portal-like effect at the front of the case.

Like the case itself, both radiators used in this build are white and covered with white Vardar X3M fans to complete this clean look.

Final Touches

To finish off our loop and make it truly stand out, we opted for a Lumen LCD screen. The nickel finish of the screen bezel reflects the colors of its surroundings, giving it a sort of ethereal appearance. What will be displayed on the screen is entirely up to you – different animations, loop statistics, live wallpapers, etc. – and you can always change it to give your build a refreshed look.

After Lumen, everything that is left to do is the installation of prebend 90° Acrylic tubing – anyone can make this build from scratch without bothering with tube bends.
