The EK Mod Pit is on!
EK Water Blocks, the premium liquid cooling manufacturer, is currently hosting its first the series of modding events. The EK Mod Pit is a different approach to bring modding and PC modifications to the general public. The focus of the show is only on two modders so that the coverage of details and useful trick that is used by these professionals are revealed and shared.
In this particular series two European modders are taking the spotlight, Alex Banks aka Maki Role who is known for his work at Praetex design from the UK and Justin Olsen of MetallicAcid custom PCs from Sweeden.
The concept of the first EK Mod Pit show is set up in such a way so that modders are to challenge each other to build a PC, by giving instructions to the other participant. Case size, motherboard size, tubing type, coolant color, fitting color are all given by one modder as a challenge to the other… and in the end, we will see are the modders skilled enough to satisfy the test of the fellow participant. With both of the contenders being recognized as professionals, the challenges are already steep!
The modders have two more days of work and we will be tuning in live from the EK warehouse where the modding show is being recorded. We will be showing off a few short live streams, but the ultimate eye candy will come after in several short movies with a complete coverage of the event.
Tomorrow on the 14th of November live streams a scheduled at 9:00 and 14:00 GMT, that is 3AM and 8AM CST (Central Standard Time US) and, 17:00 and 22:00 CST (China Standard Time).
We of course not doing this alone, a few well-known companies also joined in! In Win has supplied the A1, 303 and 915 cases as well as the power supplies. ASUS provided some interesting motherboards that the modders could have chosen from, as the ASUS PRIME Z390-A, the sleek PRIME Z390M-PLUS, and the tiny but powerful ROG STRIX Z390I GAMING. There is no possible way of making a mistake with G.Skill and that is why they have provided two packs of 32 GB DDR4 Trident-Z RGB memory. Tools! We can’t work without tools so all the major power tools are brought in by Makita! A fine selection of electric drills, jigsaws, angle grinders, and a few other things, the modders will have a reliable partner at hand to finish their challenge. Some sweet cables also flew in directly from CableMod, just to spice up things even more!
We’ll be covering the event via our social media and partner social media channels as well, so stay tuned for awesome content!
