Meet Mad Magenta – EK’s Shop the Loop build that expresses what our latest product line, Mana, is all about. The ever-popular Lian Li O11D EVO case is debuting our all-new, side-mounted distribution plate, the EK-Mana G2 PC-O11D EVO DDC D-RGB. In combination with EK-Mana MSI MAG Z690 TORPEDO EK X motherboard boasting its own Mana monoblock, recreating this PC build is the perfect way to enter the custom loop world.
About the Build
With all water cooling products inside this build being Matrix7-compliant, every part is bound to be perfectly in line. But let’s start with the obvious one – the latest EK-Mana G2 PC-O11D EVO side distribution plate that also fits other popular cases. While it does its best inside the Lian Li O11D EVO, it is highly versatile and offers many custom building options. It features a DDC pump to keep its profile slim and narrow while providing head pressure for superior flow rates for today's most complex liquid-cooled systems. It does not populate the whole side panel of the PC case, just its visible part, and it can be moved up and down the side rails, which opens a whole new set of possibilities for your builds. And all that while complying with the EK-Matrix7 standard.
The MSI MAG Z690 TORPEDO motherboard is graced with its own Mana monoblock. Our LiteBlocks utilize the latest Velocity² cooling engine, and this one directly cools the Intel® 1700 socket CPU, as well as the heatsink of the power regulation (MOSFET) module. The monoblock doesn't replace the stock heatsink but instead complements it. It connects with the pre-installed heatsink via thermal pads in between them and cools the heatsink instead of the VRM directly. Such a design provides sufficient active cooling to the VRM, enabling the motherboard to compete with higher-class, more expensive models with no sweat.
To connect the monoblock to the distribution plate, you need 28mm extenders, 90° rotary adapters, fittings, and prebent hard tubing that is cut to size for perfect horizontal tube runs.
The same horizontal tubing is also easily achievable on the 4090 FE beast of a GPU outfitted with EK-Quantum Vector² FE RTX 4090 D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi water block. A pair of 90° rotary adapters on the GPU terminal port and voila - a perfect tube run to the distro plate. With some fittings and prebent tubing, the whole thing is finished without a hitch.
All that’s left is connecting a pair of P360 Surface radiators to the distro plate. On the inner ports of each radiator, one 14mm extender and one 90° rotary adapter are used, while the other two ports only need prebent tubing with fittings.
And let’s not forget the drain port – one 90° rotary adapter and one drain valve will do the trick. And with the top radiator being the multiport version, you can open one of the unused ports to drain the loop in a matter of seconds.
To make this beauty of a PC truly come alive, you also need some vivid color inside the loop. To match the RGB lighting of this build, we have opted for EK-CryoFuel Indigo Violet and compression rings on our fittings in purple.
