Dive into this fantastic torrent case from Fractal and discover new EK wonders. Beautiful and soothingly satisfying pink coolant flows through all the water cooling components to both – boost their performance and please the eye. This isn’t your average PC build and is well worth the dive into some intricate tube bending.

About the Build

Let’s be clear right from the get-go: this PC is not exactly for the average Joe, and that’s perfectly ok. This type of next-level intricate tubing, along with the newest EK water-cooling products, truly deserves to be owned and used only by the most daring.

The Torrent PC case from Fractal features a gorgeous front panel and magnificently hides top-tier components and liquid-cooling jewels. One of those EK jewels is resting perfectly on the back panel. It’s the EK-Quantum Reflection Uni 140 distribution plate that serves as a reservoir, tube routing, and pump combo. The pre-mounted D5 pump was replaced with a slimmer DDC 4.2, so you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the ASUS motherboard and its screen.

The tubing connects to the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme, which comes with an all-new monoblock. This monoblock provides cooling for the voltage regulation module and a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ CPU. And even if you use another motherboard with Velocity² CPU water block, you can achieve the same tube look as the monoblock is Matrix 7 compliant and based on the Velocity² cooling engine.

From the monoblock, we need to reach the front radiator, which is also the all-new and latest component from EK - The EK-Quantum Surface P360M Black Performance radiator. It’s encased from both sides with six EK Vardar Fans in a push-pull configuration. This type of configuration provides ultimate performance while keeping the noise down, with all the fans being D-RGB daisy-chained for easier cable management.

The bottom part of the case is occupied with the EK-Loop Vertical GPU Holder EVO - Gen4 Riser and EK-Quantum Vector² Strix RTX 3080/90 GPU water block, which is also from the new line-up of Vector² GPU blocks that are Matrix 7 compliant. We chose the widest GPU for this build to show how it looks in the big case, but going with narrower GPUs (like a reference model) will give you more space at the bottom as the GPU holder can then be mounted in a higher position. With the ports in the same position, the same tubing can be used.

Let's now focus on that perfect-looking custom tubing. We started with a 90°pre-bend tubing available in our shop to make the bending a bit easier. It might seem difficult, but we have a perfect tool to make those double 90° bends on the GPU side and double 45° bends on the radiator side to match the case shape. EK-Loop Modulus Hard Tube Bending Tool is here to do just that. And don’t forget to start bending the longest tubing first, in case something goes wrong, so you can still salvage some of it.

The rest was an easy job for the 90°rotary adapters and some extenders, as these quickly put the tubing in line. Some nickel rings on the HDC fittings will tie everything together. We skipped the drain port in this build, which was done on purpose. It’s because placing a drain tube on the fill port and turning the whole case upside down will empty this loop in no time using gravity alone.

It is recommended to change that gorgeous EK-CryoFuel Power Pink coolant every year, as it will keep this build as bountiful as it is now. The stunning white case and some blue LEDs do go a long way!

PLEASE NOTE:

Content of this kit is only for EK products listed, and not for the PC or its hardware components.

CAUTION:

  • One of the products in this Kit, the EK-Vardar EVO 120ER D-RGB (500-2200 rpm), is out of stock and replaced with the EK-Loop Fan FPT 120 D-RGB - Black (550-2300rpm).
  • The drain valve must be attached to the bottom port of the radiator with a 90° rotary adapter and one port adapter. Blowing air into the fill port will drain the coolant through the bottom of the radiator.
  • The Digital Reef Loop Kit comes with a pre-mounted D5 pump and a slimmer DDC 4.2, so you can replace the pump to enjoy the unobstructed view of the ASUS motherboard and its screen.
  • One of the products in this Kit, the EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme D-RGB - Plexi, has reached the End of Life. Please choose the appropriate Water Block replacement HERE and manually add it to your cart.
