About the Build
Complementing the ASUS Hyperion GR 701 case is our EK-Quantum Reflection² ROG Hyperion D5 PWM D-RGB - Plexi distribution plate. Boasting exceptional craftsmanship, this distro will become the main attraction of your liquid cooling loop, commanding attention with its immaculate clarity and mesmerizing RGB lighting effects. It is a true embodiment of liquid cooling excellence, offering superior performance and a breathtaking visual display.
This water-cooled PC build is carefully engineered to ensure optimal cooling efficiency, enabling high-performance components to operate at their full potential without a sweat. With the power of liquid cooling, your CPU and GPU temperatures are effortlessly kept in check, allowing for extended gaming sessions and seamless multitasking.
Our monoblock featuring the latest Velocity² cooling engine with low restriction and high performance was tasked with CPU cooling. This Momentum² monoblock solution is EK-Matrix7 compliant, meaning the list of fittings you need for this build stays the same no matter which motherboard you choose, as long as it's compatible with one of our Momentum² monoblocks. But even if there is no monoblock available for your motherboard, there are always Velocity² CPU water blocks that can be easily aligned with a couple of offset fittings to get those perfect horizontal tube runs.
To match the look of the build, we have decided to cradle the GPU in a vertical GPU holder featuring a Gen4 riser for no performance loss. The RTX 4090 GPU is encased in the latest EK-Quantum Vector² active backplate set, providing this setup with unrivaled looks and performance.
And thanks to two enormous S420 EK-Quantum Surface radiators and seven 140mm EK-Loop FPT fans nestled inside the case, this build wields immense cooling power. The radiators are easy to connect to the distro plate due to their Matrix7 compliancy. You only need a 90° prebent tube and a couple of fittings.
Now, let's sort through the fittings you need for this work of art. The tubing we have used is a 14mm 90° prebent Acrylic hard tubing, and we went with the EK-Quantum Torque HDC 14 - Satin Titanium fittings and red color rings.
The top and bottom radiators use the exact same combination of fitting adapters.
On the radiator ports, we have two 28mm extenders and two 90° rotary adapters that align them with the ports of the distro plate. We have a 90° rotary adapter with a 7mm and a 14mm extender for the inner connection. On the outside, all that is needed is a piece of 90° prebent tubing cut to length.
The CPU monoblock needs two 28mm extenders and two 90° rotary adapters to leave space for the RAM modules and the tubing to run over them. With the monoblock being EK-Matrix7 compliant, the ports align with those of the distro plate, making any offset fittings redundant. But, if you are going with a Velocity² CPU block, please get in touch with our support team to give you a detailed list of offset fittings you will need.
The cherry on our proverbial cake is a vertically placed graphics card. A couple of 90° rotary adapters and one 28mm extender to offset the tubing on the outside connection is everything you need to achieve those immaculate horizontal tube runs.
Our build example is outfitted with an ASUS GPU and matching water block. If you plan on using a different GPU setup and need the exact list of fittings for your chosen water block, please get in touch with our support team.
