The EK-Pro GPU WB H100 NVL Rack - Nickel + Inox is a high-performance full-cover water block designed for the NVIDIA® H100 NVL Tensor Core PCIe data center graphics card. It was specifically engineered to make the entire GPU and water block assembly as thin as possible, effectively allowing it to consume only a single PCIe slot. The water block is equipped with a rack-style terminal, significantly reducing the assembly height and enhancing chassis compatibility. EK-Pro Rack GPU water blocks adhere to the standard Full Height Full Width (FHFW) server chassis form factor, making them convenient drop-in replacements for both active and passive dual-slot air coolers.
By covering the entire PCB, the water block directly cools the GPU, HBM VRAM, and VRM (voltage regulation module) as the cooling liquid is channeled precisely over these critical areas.
Dual-Pass Cooling Engine
The product features a Dual-pass cooling engine design. The coolant goes through one microfin stack, which cools the first half of the GPU die + HBM memory stacks on one side, then continues to the next microfin stack, which cools the other half. The focus was to maintain a high flow velocity through all microchannels (as opposed to a single-pass which would 'halve' the effective flow rate. The fin structure geometry has been optimized to ensure flow distribution with minimal losses even in reversed water flow scenarios.
To enhance the stability and protection of the graphics card, the I/O plate has become an integral part of the water block's top itself. This means that the block replaces the stock I/O shield, adding substantial sturdiness to the entire assembly. The integrated single-slot I/O plate also benefits compact workstation and server environments where space and PCIe slot spacing are at a premium. This design allows the card to occupy only a single PCIe x16 slot, freeing up the surrounding slots for other add-in cards.
The water block comes with an aesthetic retention backplate that improves the visual appeal and structural rigidity of the graphics card while providing passive cooling to the backside of the PCB VRM area. The cutouts in the water block top and backplate ensure full compatibility with the NVIDIA NVLink connector.
EK-Pro GPU WB H100 NVL Rack - Nickel + Inox water block features a POM-machined terminal block at the back and features two G1/4” ports, enabling easy integration with EK-Pro QDC kits and manifolds for high compute density applications.
The base of the water block is CNC-machined from nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while the top is laser-cut from industry-grade stainless steel. The top plate includes a screw-in PCIe power connector bracket, ensuring a secure power connection. High-quality EPDM O-rings guarantee reliable sealing, and pre-installed brass standoffs ensure a safe and straightforward installation process.
