Shop the Loop - Hypothermia Dream
This PC build is a state-of-the-art machine with clean-looking components neatly packed inside a white Mini Lian Li O11D case. It is equipped with three EK radiators that are sure to lower the temperatures to dangerously low levels. Keeping this build in your bedroom is not advisable – hypothermia could creep in while you’re sound asleep.

About the Build
For our chosen chassis to accommodate a 3-radiator setup, we opted for an ITX motherboard which can be moved a slot lower to provide space for the radiator at the top. Our fan-favorite EK-Quantum Velocity² CPU water block series that covers all modern sockets was an obvious choice. The water block fills the CPU space of the motherboard perfectly and will make any motherboard look and feel cool.
For the graphics card, we went all out with an active backplate set that maximizes the cooling effect. Just make sure you pick the correct ABP set for your GPU model if you are not rocking the 3080Ti Reference model like the one used in our sample build. And yes, you can also go for a regular water block without an active backplate. In that case, two 7mm extenders are unnecessary since the GPU terminal is positioned lower, connecting the lower set of ports.
Two of the three radiators we chose are EK-Quantum Surface S360 slim radiators placed at the bottom and top, while the third one is a Slim 240 at the side. A sharp eye might notice we mounted a Surface S240 instead of a Classic SE 240 radiator. To do that, two PC case rivets had to be ground away because the Surface radiator is slightly wider than its Classic counterpart. In the Loop Kit, however, you’re getting an EK-CoolStream Classic SE 240, so you don’t have to bother with modifications.
Now, to the show stopper, the latest generation of a front distribution plate made for the Mini Lian Li O11D PC case, the EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D Mini. It is a coolant distribution plate, reservoir, and pump assembly in one package, and thanks to EK-Matrix 7 standard, it’s easily connected to the remaining components.
We made an exception for the CPU water block and bent the hard tubing instead of using the offset fitting to create a perfectly horizontal tube run. Just remember, you can always use offset fittings if you want to avoid bending tubes yourself.
Our GPU with an ABP set needs a 7mm extender with a 90° rotary adapter on one port and a 7 mm extender with a 28mm double rotary offset on another. This way, everything is lined up nicely to be connected to the distro plate with some fittings and tubing.
The top and bottom radiators need 14mm extenders with 90° rotary adapters on their ports, and the job is done. To add a side 240-radiator to the loop, we started from the top radiator with a prebent tube going directly into it. To connect the other port of the side radiator with the distro plate, we needed a rotary 14mm offset for the radiator and a 90° rotary adapter for the distro plate. A couple of fittings and a piece of tubing will complete the loop. Just make sure to install the side radiator with fans first, followed by the distro plate, and then check if the ports line up with it.
To achieve static pressure, we need some FPT 120mm fans, and we used eight of them! We also added some bonus touches – the silver D5 pump cover and GPU terminal were changed to the plexi version and plugged with our satin titanium Torque plugs. We also changed all the plugs on the distro plate to satin titanium Torque Micro. Also, all port adapters on the radiators have been switched for the Torque Surface ones in satin titanium finish.
And let’s not forget our choice of coolant. At first, we had a particular color in mind, but as we were preparing the loop, we realized that going for a clear one was the best choice. That way, the RGB LED lighting dictates the color of the whole build, giving you endless possibilities for your PC’s appearance. Plus, this allows you to add whichever color to your coolant later on.
