In collaboration with Intel®, we have developed the EK® QuantumX Delta TEC water block – a unique cooling solution for enthusiasts who are seeking consistent system performance and enhanced overclocking on unlocked 10th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop processors.
A powerful, purpose-made TEC plate allows sub-ambient temperature cooling. It is integrated into the CPU water block, cooling the cold plate and CPU, while the cooling loop takes care of the hot side of the TEC.

The Intel Cryo Controller software can continuously monitor ambient and water block cold plate temperature to adapt cooling power and eliminate condensation risk generated by the extreme cooling process.
One Neat Package
Everything is packed into one compact assembly. The solid-state thermoelectric „heat pump“ that utilizes the Peltier effect is sandwiched into the water block itself, while the entire controller unit is mounted on top of it.
Creating the Extraordinary
This water block is like no other. Hence, it bearing the flag of special products that are ought to push the limits – the QuantumX. The water block itself features a robust all-metal design for extreme conditions with an insulation shroud that isolates the water block cold plate from the environment, impeding condensation. The cold plate is CNC-machined out of high-purity electrolytic copper, which enables high thermal performance. A large surface area, covered with 51 cooling fins, transfers the heat away from the powerful, purpose-made TEC plate.
The integrated TEC is custom made and has a maximum cooling power of 338W, while its maximum power draw is electronically controlled and limited to 200W.
Intel Cryo Cooling Technology
A unique combination of software, firmware, and hardware powers the advanced sub-ambient coolers designed to maximize PC performance and overclocking. The entire platform consists of a sub-ambient cooler, a compatible motherboard with KOZ+ and OC requirements, 10th Gen Intel Core i9 K-series processor, and Intel Cryo Cooling Technology controller and software.
The technology is compatible with selected Intel Z490 chipset-based motherboards and the latest BIOS updates. We recommend you refer to the EK Cooling Configurator for a precise compatibility match. We are checking compatible motherboards and adding them to the database daily.
How It Works
With traditional water cooling, the water block cools the CPU by transferring heat away from the CPU and dissipating it through the radiator. Such a cooling method can never cool below the ambient (room) temperature.
With this technology, the CPU is actively cooled to sub-ambient temperatures via the Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC) plate controlled by the Intel Cryo Controller. As part of the Cryo cooling process, the immense heat generated by the TEC plate is extracted by the EK-QuantumX Delta water block and dissipated through the radiator.
