Noisy pump and Engrish manual.... Review by LarsD
I don't get it either, the humming is really annoying and much louder then my old DCP pump.
I was thinking that you could give the pump less power because the current water flow is more then enough and much more then my old pump.
I tried to read the manual but the section on the power and the wires are really bad, i don't get it.
I just have it hooked up to a 12v connector because i'm not sure the motherboard pins have sufficient power.
Either way i'm not really happy with the EK-DCP 2.2 product or manual! (Posted on 5/7/12) -
Not sure how they got 17dB noise Review by pilotmark
I was hoping for less noise from this pump, being in the field of acoustics I know that 17dBA is pretty much silent. However, this pump is nowhere near that - and I can tell without needing to put it in the anachoic chamber. I am using it with foam underneath, and indeed totally surrounding the pump and I get a fairly distinct hum from it. Maybe it is quiter than the 4.0 model, but I am not sure. I'd love to know where the 17dB measurement is taken, is it 10m away? (Posted on 3/9/12)
